Overview
Managed People Solutions is inviting applications from unemployed South African youth for its Wholesale & Retail Operations Learnership Programme, based in Pretoria CBD.
This 12-month programme offers young people an opportunity to gain practical retail experience while working towards a recognised National Certificate in Wholesale & Retail Operations (NQF Level 2).
Successful candidates will be placed in the Merchandising Department, where they will receive hands-on training in stock management, product displays, customer service and retail operations.
No previous work experience is required, making this opportunity suitable for unemployed Matriculants interested in starting a career in the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
Successful learners will be expected to:
– Identify products and stock that need to be merchandised.
– Draw and prepare stock requirements.
– Check product quality, shelf life, vintage information and pricing.
– Ensure proper stock rotation and accurate price tags.
– Arrange and maintain product displays according to merchandising instructions.
– Respond to customer queries and report complaints or requests.
– Maintain knowledge of products and promotional activities.
– Record merchandising activities accurately.
– Complete scheduled store visits according to the assigned call cycle.
– Report out-of-stock products to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Have completed Grade 12 / Matric.
- Be currently unemployed.
- Be based in Pretoria CBD or surrounding areas.
- Be willing to learn and participate in workplace training.
Previous Work Experience: Not required.
