Overview
A company in Kempton Park is looking for a detail-oriented Stock Taker to support inventory control and warehouse operations. The role focuses on accurate stock counting, maintaining records, and ensuring stock is properly stored and managed in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct daily cycle counts and full stock takes as scheduled
– Ensure all stock is correctly stored, labelled, and neatly arranged
– Reconcile physical stock with system records and report discrepancies
– Perform second counts where required and assist with investigations
– Maintain accurate stock records and documentation
– Ensure proper packaging and handling of stock to prevent damage
– Assist with loading and offloading of stock when required
– Support warehouse operations and assist in other duties as needed
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
– Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or operations environment (advantageous)
- Basic computer literacy (SAGE Evolution or similar systems is an advantage)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player with good communication skills
