Overview
MP Mining is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join its opencast mining operations. This role is ideal for qualified heavy equipment operators with proven experience in large-scale mining environments. The successful candidate will operate excavators for material handling, trenching, and overburden removal while maintaining strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavator machinery in opencast mining operations
- Load and move blasted material safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects
- Promote a zero-harm safety culture
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness
- Complete proper shift handover procedures
- Follow all mine health, safety, and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating excavators in opencast mining
- Valid Class EC driver’s license
- MTTC L1C Certificate
- Knowledge of mining safety procedures
