Overview
Clicks Group is recruiting Shop Assistant / Cashier staff across multiple stores in South Africa. These opportunities are ideal for candidates who are passionate about customer service, retail operations, and creating a positive in-store shopping experience.
The successful candidates will support point-of-sale activities, merchandising, housekeeping, and customer engagement while helping the business deliver service excellence in line with Clicks standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
– Scan merchandise and collect payments correctly, including ClubCard rewards.
– Handle cash safely and according to company procedures.
– Promote the Clicks ClubCard and assist with new member registration.
– Inform customers about promotions and special offers to support sales.
– Deliver friendly, professional, and helpful customer service at all times.
– Maintain merchandising standards and ensure shelves and displays are neat and well stocked.
– Keep updated on products, promotions, store events, and customer service procedures.
– Support general housekeeping and daily store operations.
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment will be an advantage.
- Basic maths and numeracy skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with people.

- Mathematics 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level.
