Overview
The CODE retail store is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an excellent shopping experience through strong product knowledge, effective merchandising, and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide excellent customer service at all times
– Assist customers with product selection to increase sales
– Process transactions accurately at the till
– Ensure shelves are fully stocked with new and replenished merchandise
– Maintain proper ticketing and visual merchandising standards
– Support the store manager with daily operations
– Safeguard store equipment and minimise stock losses
– Follow health and safety procedures
– Contribute to achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- At least 1 year of retail or similar experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
