Overview
TsAfrika Catering Solutions is recruiting 5 passionate and skilled Cooks to join their team in Midrand. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy preparing quality meals, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and delivering outstanding food experiences.
Key Responsibilities
– Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and company quality standards
– Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation
– Ensure food is prepared and served on time
– Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
– Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and storage of ingredients
– Support and guide junior kitchen staff where required
– Assist with portion control, food costing, and waste reduction
– Step in to manage kitchen operations when required
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Cook or in a similar role
Advantageous:
- Hospitality or Culinary qualification
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Passion for cooking and delivering excellent service
