Overview
A company based in the East Rand is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Picker & Packer to support warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
Key Responsibilities
– Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming stock
– Pick and pack orders accurately according to picking slips
– Prepare goods for dispatch including weighing, labelling, and packaging
– Load and off-load delivery vehicles
– Check products for damages and report any issues
– Maintain accurate stock handling and support stock counts
– Assist with back orders and communicate any stock shortages
– Ensure a clean, safe, and organised work environment
– Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
– Report equipment faults and suggest process improvements
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2–3 years’ experience in a warehouse or similar role
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Key Competencies:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and move stock
- Familiarity with hand-held scanning devices (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
