Clicks Botswana is inviting applications for 8 Shop Assistant / Cashier positions across selected stores in Maun and Gaborone. If you are passionate about retail, customer service and creating a positive shopping experience, this opportunity is for you.
Job Purpose
To deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operations and merchandising activities that ensure a seamless and enjoyable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all point of sale (POS) operational activities accurately and efficiently.
- Scan merchandise and process payments with high levels of accuracy.
- Ensure safe handling of cash at all times.
- Promote and enroll customers on the Clicks ClubCard programme to meet participation targets.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Deliver friendly, professional and visible customer service as a brand ambassador.
- Maintain merchandising standards and general housekeeping in line with store requirements.
- Keep updated knowledge of products, promotions and store events.
- Support stock management processes and follow company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or equivalent (Grade 12 standard).
- Mathematics and English at BGCSE level (minimum 50%) will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment is advantageous but not essential.
