Overview
Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Facilities Officer to join its team in Sowa Town. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing cost-effective maintenance programmes and coordinating all facility-related works with internal and external maintenance teams.
This role is suited for a technically strong and organised professional with solid experience in facilities management and contract supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of company facilities for defects and general upkeep
- Supervise building refurbishments and facility upgrades
- Raise job cards for repairs, renovations and new installations
- Liaise with the Drawing Office regarding facility changes and updates
- Ensure cleanliness of interior and exterior areas
- Monitor job progress, quality standards and resource utilisation
- Supervise landscaping in business areas, including company swimming pools
- Participate in budgeting, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives
- Procure maintenance services when required to ensure uninterrupted service delivery
- Operate cranes and trucks when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Facilities Management
- Exposure to contract management will be an added advantage
- Valid Class B Driver’s Licence
- Ability to operate cranes and trucks when required
