Overview

Freshmark is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrator to support payroll and human resources processes. This role focuses on ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with legislation, and efficient administrative support within a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

– Capture, process, and validate payroll-related information on internal systems

– Maintain accurate employee records and documentation

– Process staff changes including appointments, terminations, overtime, and leave

– Handle payroll and HR-related queries within set timelines

– Ensure compliance with payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, BCEA)

– Support audits by maintaining organised and audit-ready records

– Assist with month-end processes and reporting requirements

– Liaise with internal departments and external service providers

– Perform general administrative duties and support HR initiatives


Requirements & Skills

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Payroll or HR qualification (advantageous)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in payroll or administrative roles
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, ESS advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel and general computer systems
