Overview

BUCO, TimberCity, and B4A Western Cape are offering 20 Retail Learnership Opportunities for unemployed youth interested in gaining practical experience in the wholesale and retail sector. This structured programme combines classroom-based learning with hands-on workplace training, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

– Attend all theoretical training sessions with the training provider

– Complete assessments, assignments, and Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)

– Assist customers and provide basic customer service

– Support merchandising and stock replenishment

– Assist with point-of-sale (POS) operations where required

– Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards

– Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

– Keep accurate logbooks of workplace activities

– Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability

Requirements & Skills

Grade 12 (Matric)
Must be unemployed and eligible for a W&RSETA learnership
Must not have previously completed an unemployed learnership
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
South African citizen
Clear criminal record
Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
