Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a motivated Merchandiser to join their Kenilworth store. The role focuses on maintaining merchandising standards, ensuring shelves are fully stocked, and delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Replenish and organise stock to maximise product availability
– Ensure all products are correctly displayed, priced, and labelled
– Monitor stock expiry dates and follow FIFO rotation principles
– Report low, damaged, or expired stock to management
– Assist with stock counts and stocktaking processes
– Maintain clean, tidy, and well-presented shelves and displays
– Support loading and offloading of stock
– Assist customers with product queries and provide excellent service
– Follow store layout plans, merchandising standards, and company procedures
– Minimise stock losses through careful handling of merchandise
Requirements & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Up to 6 months retail experience
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- 1 year retail experience
- Knowledge of merchandising or FMCG environment
