Overview
Clicks Group is inviting applications for two (2) Shop Assistant / Cashier positions at its Rail Park Mall store in Botswana. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service through efficient point-of-sale operations, merchandising, and in-store support, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
– Execute all point-of-sale (POS) operations accurately and efficiently.
– Scan merchandise, process payments, and manage ClubCard rewards with high accuracy.
– Handle cash safely and in line with company procedures.
– Promote and enroll customers into the Clicks ClubCard programme to meet participation targets.
– Inform customers about promotions to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
– Deliver outstanding customer service by acting as a brand ambassador for Clicks.
– Maintain merchandising standards and ensure general housekeeping duties are completed.
– Keep up to date with product ranges, promotions, and in-store events.
– Uphold and promote the company’s values and vision at all times.
Requirements & Skills
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Ability to work in a customer-facing retail environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or FMCG store operations is advantageous.
Knowledge
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
- Understanding of retail merchandising, promotions, and stock management.
- Knowledge of customer service principles.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Good planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and follow procedures.
Desirable
- Grade 12 Mathematics (50%) and English (50%).
- Experience working with people and influencing customer decisions.
