Overview

Tiger Brands is seeking a dedicated Packing Operator to join its production team. This role involves operating and monitoring packing machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining high safety and hygiene standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate and monitor packing machines to ensure efficient production

– Set up machines and ensure smooth packing operations

– Maintain product quality, safety, and operational efficiency

– Coordinate availability and cleanliness of bins and equipment

– Perform cleaning tasks, including bin and hopper cleaning using tools and equipment

– Apply fumigation procedures safely where required

– Complete operational records and daily reports

– Adhere to SOPs, quality standards, and compliance requirements

– Report any defects, non-conformance, or safety concerns

– Participate in stock counts and resolve discrepancies

– Maintain hygiene and good manufacturing practices at all times

– Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) – Maths and Science advantageous
Experience in a technical or operational environment (preferred)
Physically fit and able to work in a production environment

Skills & Competencies

Good communication skills
Team player with a strong work ethic
Ability to work under pressure
