Overview

Tiger Brands is offering Workplace Experience opportunities in both Sales & Distribution and Production (Milling). These programmes are designed to provide hands-on industry exposure, helping students build practical skills in logistics, operations, and manufacturing within a leading FMCG company.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Distribution (Bellville):

– Manage crate control, tracking, and ordering

– Perform fleet and workshop administration

– Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and transport costs

– Reconcile invoices, accounts, and fleet expenses

– Maintain driver compliance and documentation

– Support customer relationships and in-store planning

– Assist with product availability and sales support

Production (Pietermaritzburg):

  • Assist in daily milling operations under supervision
  • Support monitoring of processes such as cleaning, grinding, and blending
  • Track production performance and operational parameters
  • Collect and analyse data to identify inefficiencies
  • Assist with machine adjustments and operational improvements
  • Support maintenance and operational checks
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Relevant studies in Business, Sales, Logistics, Engineering, or Production
  • Strong interest in FMCG, operations, or manufacturing
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Willingness to learn and gain practical experience
