Overview
A leading FMCG company is looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join their Meadowview Depot team. This role focuses on ensuring accurate stock handling, maintaining warehouse standards, and supporting efficient daily operations within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Verify accuracy of picked, received, and loaded stock
– Check quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and documentation
– Maintain stock control and ensure inventory accuracy
– Participate in stock counts and cycle counts
– Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready warehouse
– Identify and report damaged or incorrect stock
– Support daily operational targets and team performance
– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards
– Complete all warehouse documentation accurately
– Assist with general warehouse duties when required
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 2–3 years experience in a warehouse or FMCG environment
- Experience as a picker or similar role (advantageous)
- Warehouse-related learnership (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numerical and checking skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies and stock variances
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
