Overview
A leading milling operation is seeking a hardworking General Worker (Stacker) to join the production team in Vereeniging. This role involves supporting production processes, handling materials, and ensuring that finished products are stacked, inspected, and prepared according to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Remove materials and finished products from machines manually
– Stack and palletize finished goods correctly
– Inspect products for defects and ensure quality standards are met
– Apply correct date codes and product labels
– Perform general physical labour, including lifting and moving heavy loads
– Maintain a clean and safe working environment
– Complete finished goods documentation accurately
– Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting when required
– Check seals and product packaging quality
– Carry out sanitation and cleaning duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a milling or production environment
- 6 months to 1 year experience as a stacker (preferred)
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (±25kg)
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of concentration and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced milling environment (hot and noisy conditions)
- Shift work required
- May be required to work overtime and after hours
- Exposure to heavy machinery and equipment
