Overview
Gold One Group Limited is seeking an experienced Miner to join its Modder East operations. The role focuses on supporting underground mining activities, ensuring safe and efficient blasting operations, and contributing to production targets while maintaining strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Execute blasting activities safely and efficiently within designated areas
– Support daily mining operations to achieve production targets
– Plan, supervise, and coordinate mining teams in stoping and development sections
– Ensure availability of equipment and materials for uninterrupted operations
– Monitor and maintain safety compliance in line with MHSA regulations
– Apply best practices to improve productivity and operational performance
– Promote and uphold a strong safety culture at all times
Requirements
- Grade 10, 11, or 12 (or equivalent NQF qualification)
- Valid Blasting Certificate for Metalliferous Mines
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in trackless mining
- Experience in TMM, conventional development, stoping, and hydropower drilling
- Valid South African driver’s license (Code 8–10)
- South African citizenship
- Clear criminal record
Advantageous
- Mining Production Supervisor Certificate
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in multiple South African languages
