Overview

A leading bakery operation is seeking an experienced Driver to join their dispatch team in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products while ensuring vehicle compliance and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

– Transport products safely and on time to designated locations

– Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or mechanical issues

– Complete vehicle checklists and ensure proper refuelling

– Load and offload goods, including pallets, with care

– Ensure accurate delivery of stock quantities and documentation

– Obtain proof of delivery (POD) signatures from customers

– Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle and equipment

– Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies

– Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards

– Plan and navigate delivery routes efficiently

Requirements & Skills

Grade 12 (Matric)
5–10 years driving experience (heavy-duty vehicles preferred)
Valid Code 14 driver’s license with valid PrDP
Experience driving vehicles such as Scania, Mercedes-Benz, or MAN (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good problem-solving and numerical skills
Strong time management and organisational skills
Professional and customer-focused attitude
Ability to work independently and under pressure
